Ok, so you don't have a USB drive and you've been emailing yourself that project that's due next week and every time you try to get to that one computer in the Media Center that you've secretly dubbed your own, someone else is sitting there working on stuff YOU don't care about. Fear not! You don't need a flashdrive if you have your own online portfolio. Enter, Dropbox, where you can drop all your work in one place and access it anywhere.

PRISM Scholarship at Savannah State
The Proactive Recruitment in Introductory Science and Mathematics (PRISM) Program is funded by a $1.5 million grant from the National Science Foundation. Our program provides up to $3,500 per year to highly qualified freshmen and sophomores enrolled at Savannah State University. In addition to the financial award, our scholars receive weekly mentoring, attend monthly seminars and participate in a summer program (the summer component would be held in summer 2012). Incoming freshmen are eligible to continue in the program through their sophomore year as long as they have been compliant with scholarship requirements. All scholars are expected to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA.
You CAN Afford an Ivy League Education
Harvard University announced over the weekend that from now on undergraduate students from low-income families will pay no tuition. In making the announcement, Harvard's president Lawrence H. Summers said, "When only ten percent of the students in elite higher education come from families in the lower half of the income distribution, we are not doing enough. We are not doing enough in bringing elite higher education to the lower half of the income distribution."
